Charles Hobson Booger, III
As promised, here’s a photo of the delectable vegan meal Charles and Violet get at 4am and 4pm daily. That bowl is Charles’; Violet’s has a cup less. The veggie mash is on top, the grain and veggie mix is the pinkish whitish goop, then there’s pumpkin, and the bottom is a lentil/soybean/coconut butter puree. Charles looks like a completely different dog (to me) when his ears are up. It took me hours to get a shot of them nearly at attention, so I just had to share it.

Charles is so beautiful! And I agree – he really does look different with his ears up. His personality really shines through in those pics!
I was at the library today and ended up in a surprising conversation with a man who seems to want to go vegan. I gave him some literature, and we had a long talk. He brought up many things, including pit bulls and greyhounds. He used to live in south florida, he told me, and mentioned the hundreds of tracks there. He looked grim as he talked about what happens. I thought of you, and your life goal, and your rescued greyhounds. Odd where we find our support sometimes, you know?
