On Stakeholders of “The Movement”

Whenever it’s time to list stakeholders during a strategic planning session, I tend to give my input at the beginning, with the most obvious stakeholders. For instance, I’d be the genius who’d say: "animals and activists" if we all had a meeting, but other people would come up with other parties who could be described as activists, such as: vegan business owners; and the people who support those who do direct activism by maybe helping them prepare or get materials, as well as all those who provide moral support or even financial support for the activists.

Anyone have any other stakeholders whom we’d want to consider as we define/refine/revise who we are and what we’re setting out to do? Is the media a stakeholder? Does it have an interest in whatever service or information we’d be providing? In addition, you, as activists, would presumably want something from a movement, initiative or organization that would make what you do easier or more efficient or effective. What would you want?
