NYT on Women Eating Meat to Attract Men

You have got to read "Be Yourselves, Girls, Order the Rib-Eye," by Allen Salkin in the Fashion & Style section of today’s New York Times. I’ll deconstruct it tonight or for tomorrow, as I’m on my way out for the day.

Net message:

  • More women, no, wait, girls, are eating steak.
  • Many of them are (um, were?) vegetarians.
  • They’re doing the steak (and burger) eating to impress men.
  • Eating meat makes you not finicky, therefore more appealing to men.

There’s plenty more where that came from. Take a gander. It’s maddening for both women and men.

  1. I had this up in a window for a while, waiting for an opportunity to get to it, but then my browser crashed and I forgot about it. Thanks for writing about it. Such a revolting article…
